GSA Ties for the Most State Championships!

GSA had a record showing at State Cup producing 4 State Champions and 1 Finalist.  Congratulations to all of the teams, parents & coaches!

GSA 93 Phoenix Red Boys Travel to Portugal

The boy's traveled to Portugal over spring break with Nuno & Alphonso.  The boys encountered great competition and very competitive games on the trip.  In between soccer games, they did find time to do a little sightseeing and enjoy Portugal hospitality & culture.

Thanks to Nuno & Alphonso for their leadership and a big "Thank You" to the boys who represented not only their team and our club, but also the USA on their trip.   Well Done!

GSA College Scholarship Program

GSA is pleased to announce that we are currently accepting applications for the 2008 GSA College Scholarship program.

This program of college tuition awards is supported by the Gwinnett Soccer Association, Inc. (GSA) in recognition of the contribution youth soccer has made to the development of young people in Georgia. The scholarships are in the form of tuition awards up to $2,000.00 to be used toward expenses in an accredited college, university, or community college, beginning in the upcoming fall semester.

The program is open to those Georgia players currently participating in a bona fide soccer program, including graduating high school seniors, high school graduates who wish to start college, and continuing college students. During their soccer experience, applicants must also have participated on a recreational or select team sponsored by GSA for at least two years.

GSA 97 Girls (U11) continue their winning ways

The 97 Phoenix Red Girls won the top division of U11 Girls during the recent Impact Premier Cup in Knoxville, TN. 

In addition, the 97 Phoenix White girls recently took 1st place honors at the AFC Challenge in Fayetteville, winning the U11 Red bracket in the tournament.  Congratulations to all the players, parents and coaches for your ongoing success!

GSA 96 Phoenix Red Girls (U12) Win in Knoxville

The U12 Phoenix Red Girls returned from their trip to Knoxville with another Championship.  The girls finished first in the U12 1st Division.

GSA 96 Boys (U12) Win in Knoxville

The U12 Boys Valencia team played 11v11 in the Impact Premier Cup in Knoxville, TN.  The boy's went undefeated and won the U12 flight.

GSA 97 Boys (U11) Win Big at AFC Challenge

Two of GSA’s U11 boy’s teams won championships at the AFC Spring Challenge on March 30.

GSA 97 Sporting posted a 4 – 0 record in the Gold division winning an exciting overtime final 4-3 defeating the home standing AFC Lightning 97 Gold. GSA 97 Porto played four very exciting matches en route to a 4 – 0 record and winning the Red division championship over U11 Stars Black 2 – 1. Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and parents on a great tournament.

GSA 95 Phoenix White Girls win Concorde Challenge Cup

The U13 Phoenix White continued their winning ways by going undefeated in the recent Concorde Cup Challenge.  The final was an exciting game with the Phoenix winning a great 1-0 game over a talented Bridge FA team from Charleston, SC.  Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and parents on a great tournament.

Congratulations Shannon Geraghty

GSA extends our congratulations to Shannon Geraghty who was recently crowned Miss Teen Georgia.  Shannon is a sophomore at GAC and plays on the GSA 93 Phoenix Red Girls, an R3PL team coached by Campbell Chapman.   Shannon is the daughter of Terry and Nancy Geraghty and lives in the Peachtree Corners area. Shannon will compete later this spring in the Miss Teen USA pageant representing the state of Georgia.  She will be passing up an appearance in the Peach Bowl parade to participate in the Disney Tournament in Orlando with her team over the New Years holiday. We will be cheering for the 93 Red's and all of the GSA teams in the upcoming tournaments over Christmas & New Years.

GSA Video Premiers on Fox Soccer Channel

We are pleased to share with you a 30 second video that was carried live on the Fox Soccer Channel in September during the coverage of the University of Georgia & Georgia State University's Women's Soccer match.  A big "THANK YOU" to Nick Ciarlante for volunteering all of the video footage and for all of the editing and production necessary to get the video ready for the TV Spot.

Reserving Pavilion or Clubhouse

If you or your team would like to reserve the GSA clubhouse or the pavilion for a team event or an end of season party, please contact the GSA Secretary to make your reservations.  Once approved, your event will be placed on the GSA Calendar.
