Registration InformationPlease note that GSA has been fundraising for field lighting for additional fields. We have raised a good portion of the required funds from the 3 Academy Invitational tournaments that GSA has hosted. We are close enough that we anticipate moving forward with the installation of additional lights during the summer of 2008 when the fields are closed. We are still short of our goal and are hoping to collect enough during the current registration to finish the lighting project without incurring any debt. As part of registration, you will be offered the opportunity to donate to the Field Lighting project. There is an optional $25 donation box listed as part of registration. If you do not wish to make this donation, simply uncheck the box next to that line item. If you would be interested in making a donation for a different amount, please use the DONATION box also displayed on the screen.

Online Registration is now available. To register a recreational player - please CLICK HERE. To register a select player - please CLICK HERE.
Registration InfoGSA offers multiple programs and they are divided into two categories. Recreational soccer is open to all players from age 4 through age 19. There are no tryouts associated with recreational soccer and the costs are substantially lower due to volunteer coaches and no travel at the younger age groups. Select soccer (Academy, Athena, Classic or R3PL) is available for players who wish to compete at higher levels. There are tryouts every May/June for these teams and they form for a season year (August through July). Costs are higher because of professional coaching and more extensive travel. Registration for select teams are coordinated through the coach and/or team manager. If you have any questions, please email us at registrar@gsasoccer.com. GSA must receive a registration (paper or online) and all applicable fees before a child can play or practice. Please note that GSA no longer requires families to donate time for concession stand duty or other volunteer activities. The only duties that teams will be responsible for during the season are those of providing a field marshal during all home games.

We encourage all players to register online. The registration process is simple and allows us to easily place returning players on the correct teams. As a convenience, you may pay by credit cared (Visa or MasterCard) or debit card online. GSA is affiliated with Georgia Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer. We have programs for both recreational and select (Athena & Classic) players. GSA has programs for players from age 4 through age 18. Registration Forms: When you register at GSA for the first time, you will need to provide a copy of the player's birth certificate. Uniform Package: For the U5 through U8 age groups, you will need to purchase a uniform package that will consist of a jersey with the GSA logo, black shorts and black socks. These uniform packages will be good for a calendar year that will run from the fall season through the end of the spring season. For the U10 and up age groups, we have implemented an upgraded uniform package. The uniform package for these age groups will consist of 1 red jersey (home), 1 white jersey (away), a pair of black shorts and a pair of black socks. These uniforms will be good for multiple years. This will give our recreational teams that are inter-league schedules with other associations the ability to have a home and away uniform similar to the select teams. It also eliminates the need to purchase a uniform every year if the uniform still fits the player. Select teams have more uniform options and will purchase their uniforms through their individual teams and in conjunction with their team manager. Playing Up: Players with an August birth date may play up one age group if requested on their registration form by their parent/guardian. No additional approval is required. If a player demonstrates exception skill in their own age group, they may apply to play up one age group. A written request must be submitted by the parent/guardian along with the registration form. Each request is subject to approval by the association. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Select Players: Select players are not eligible for a refund after the signing date as established by Georgia Youth Soccer Association. Recreational Players: GSA encourages players to register early to guarantee them a spot on the upcoming season. If a player requests to withdraw their registration anytime between registration and the first game, GSA will refund all of the registration fee and uniform fee except a $25 processing fee. If you register late and are assessed a late charge, the late charge is only refundable in the event GSA cannot place the player on a team. Once assigned, the late charge portion is non-refundable. Any donations that are collected during registration are not refundable. There will be no refunds after the first game of the season and all refunds require the approval of the GSA President. Please note that all requests for refunds must be submitted to GSA in writing either by mailing GSA at P.O. Box 210, Lilburn, GA 30048 or emailing the GSA President. Equipment: In addition to the uniform provided through GSA, each player should have the equipment that is listed below. Schedule: Team formation will occur approximately 3 weeks before the start of the season. Players who registered online will be notified via email as soon as their team assignment is complete. If we do not have your email address on file, you will be notified by the coach or team manager of the team you are assigned to.

Practice Information U5 & U6 teams practice once a week while U8 and older teams will practice a maximum of twice per week. There will be one game per week, normally on the weekend (except for possible make-up games). The nights and times of the practices will be determined by the coach. You may use the SPECIAL REQUEST during online registration to indicate your preference but please note that we cannot guarantee practice nights. The following guidelines should be used for recreational teams:
Age Group | Practice Length | Under 6 | 30 - 45 minutes | Under 8 | 60 minutes | U10 | 60 - 75 minutes | U12 & up | Up to 90 minutes |
Every player must wear shin guards to all practices and games. Shin guards must be commercially manufactured specifically for soccer. Players should wear cleated shoes that are designed for soccer or turf shoes. For players U12 and younger, all cleats must be molded into the shoe. Please be aware that players are not allowed to play in baseball cleats or other cleated shoes that would contain a toe cleat. Each player should bring a water bottle to all games and practice. Players should put their names on their water bottle If you are registering a player at GSA for the first time, a copy of your child's birth certificate is required along with your registration form. Hospital, baptismal or other religious certificates are not acceptable. If you are having a problem getting a copy of your child's official birth certificate, go ahead and send in your registration form now and make sure you provide us a copy of the birth certificate prior to the first game. No player can be allowed to play in a game until we have a copy of his or her birth certificate. You may mail the birth certificate to the address at the very bottom of this screen or fax the birth certificate to 770-979-5777.
