We are always looking to increase the referee pool at GSA and this is a great way for teens (13 years or older) and adults to earn extra money. Courses are held prior to each season to become a certified referee.
In order to complete the 2024-25 Grassroots Referee Certification, the following steps must be completed:
Step #1: Complete ALL online assignments associated with the US Soccer Learning Center 2025 First-Time Referee course. After registering, in the Assignments Tab you will find the following assignments that must be 100% completed BEFORE attending the field training event (FTE).
If you are 18 years of age or older, you must also complete the NCSI Background Screening and all Safe Soccer requirements
If you have completed all the other on-line requirements and are only waiting for your NCSI background screening to clear, you may attend the training program
Step #2: Attend the New Referee Field Training Event (FTE) (4 hours). If you miss the class, you will be transferred to a general holding course in the Learning Center and you will need to select & attend a different course. See list of available course above that GSA hosts!
